Innovation zones, platform for technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem development
On the second day of the 24th exhibition of research, technology and technology achievements of the Ministry of Technology, Dr. Ali Asadi, director of the science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran, attended the park booth and spoke with the owners of technology teams and technology and knowledge-based companies and visited their achievements.
In an interview with the media team of the science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran, Dr. Ali Asadi said that the science and Technology Park participated in the exhibition this year with the focus on the Innovation District of Tehran, and said: “after the conclusion of the quadrilateral memorandum of understanding on the launch of the Innovation District of Tehran, the necessary measures and activities were put on the agenda to create the infrastructure and executive mechanisms of this issue”.
He also spoke about conducting comparative studies in the field of innovation areas and added: “so far, we have been able to draft the statutes and statutes of this area and by planning and holding numerous meetings with the research center of the Islamic Council, the technology and Innovation Department of the Ministry of Education, as well as the Cultural Council, we are trying to approve the statutes and statutes of innovation areas in the relevant authorities”.
Emphasizing the importance of executive measures, Dr. Asadi noted that after the adoption of the statutes and regulations of the innovation areas, the activities will have an operational aspect and the mechanisms necessary to provide services and facilities to technologists and knowledge-based institutions based in the innovation areas can be defined and implemented.
The head of the science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran pointed to the allocation of special space for the Innovation District of Tehran in the science and Technology Park booth and stated: “over the past two days, this dedicated space has been welcomed and attracted the attention of many heads of Science and Technology Parks and officials of the country, and by holding meetings with them, the idea, benefits and effects of innovation zones in the development of the technology ecosystem and innovation of the country were explained to them”.
Dr. Asadi referred to the visit they had to the exhibition and the achievements of technologists and knowledge base across the country, saying that the variety and quality of technological products and services offered was very high and compared to last year, this growth and improvement is visible.
Dr. Ali Asadi had a meeting with Dr. Naderi Manesh, the head of the science and Technology Park of Tarbiat Modares, during his visits. He also visited the research nuclei of the University of Tehran, the research achievements of the University of culture, the technological achievements of the scientific and Research city of Isfahan, the achievements of the Saadi Foundation, as well as the booth of the top research achievements of the Ministry of Education and spoke with the technologists and specialists of the country.
Dr. Asadi also had a meeting with Dr. Beheshti, director general of the Office of research support of the Ministry of education, and held a conversation.
In another part of the second day of the exhibition, Dr. Asadi Fard, vice president of development of knowledge-based companies of the office of Science, Technology and knowledge-based economy of national presidency, visited the booth of the science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran and discussed and interacted with the owners of technology teams and knowledge-based companies.
