Investment Window: An Opportunity for Interaction Between Investors and Recipients of Capital
The University of Tehran Science and Technology Park held the first session of the Investment Window series on Thursday, October 11th.
In the first session, three educational workshops were conducted on topics related to investment and entrepreneurship in the field of science and technology, addressing legal contracts for attracting capital to startups, investment opportunities and challenges for startups in Iran, and effective presentation to investors.
The first workshop, titled ‘How to Effectively Present to Investors,’ was led by Dr. Alireza Mobini, focusing on aspects such as team introduction, problem statement and solution, product introduction, overall market and revenue flow, competitive status, market research and planning, team status, capital, and cost breakdown.
In the workshop on legal contracts for attracting capital to startups, Dr. Hassanzadeh outlined the importance of investment contracts and introduced various types of investment contracts in different stages of a startup’s activities, highlighting essential points in contracts, stages, investor evaluation of startups, and memorandum arrangements.
The final workshop on opportunities and challenges in attracting capital for startups in Iran was conducted by Dr. Hamid Mahdi, covering topics such as various management types in startups, commercialization, investment stages in the entrepreneurial ecosystem, main reasons for Iranian startup failures, determining the model of collaboration with investors, benefits of attracting capital, attractive product features for investment, and technological challenges in negotiations.
It should be noted that participants in the first session are required to prepare and present their work reports to investors in the next session.
