Development of Agricultural Product Value Chain Infrastructure with a Technological Approach

A platform for the development of the agricultural product value chain infrastructure was designed by a knowledge-based company, a member of the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran.

According to the Public Relations of the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran, a knowledge-based company located in the park has successfully designed a platform called “Farm” for the development of the agricultural product value chain infrastructure and offered it to the market.

Ayandeh Pajoohan Lotus Company, a member of the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran and a type 2 (industrial) knowledge-based production company, operates in the field of information technology services related to the agricultural product value chain.

Dr. Hassan Mafi, the founder and CEO of Ayandeh Pajoohan Lotus, regarding the company’s field of activity, stated: “The company’s main activity is focused on creating and developing the infrastructure of the agricultural product value chain and, alongside that, designing related organizational platforms that are marketed after product development.”

Dr. Mafi, stating that the main customers of this platform are farmers, input and agricultural service suppliers (input vendors, consultancy services, laborers, mechanization services, and laboratory services), and major agricultural product purchasers like wholesalers, traders, food factories, and cold storages, announced: “To date, two platforms, ‘Farm System’ and ‘Farm Shop,’ have been commercially offered to the market, and more than 25,000 users across Iran are using them.”

He highlighted that the prominent feature of the company’s products is the consolidation of the majority of farmers’ needs in a comprehensive platform, with the capability of independently customizing their services without the need for operator support.

He noted the relative advantage of this platform compared to numerous domestic and foreign competitors, stating that the company, by combining specialized groups in agriculture, electronics, and artificial intelligence, has managed to introduce itself as one of the prominent companies in the turbulent market space.

The CEO of the company, introducing the envisioned prospects for the company, added: “An export plan for the Farm services is envisioned for the horizon of 1405 [2026-2027], with the markets of neighboring countries to Iran and English and French-speaking countries being the first to third priority in the company’s export development plan.”

He advised those interested in starting a business, stating: “Feasibility studies centred on identifying the problem from the audience’s perspective, evaluating innovative solutions from the idea’s audience viewpoint, and testing the financial sustainability of the idea from potential customers’ perspective can significantly assist in identifying market needs.”
