Industry problem-solving solutions are in the hands of technologists and knowledge-based companies
A joint meeting between the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran and the Ministry of Energy and the Market for Technology Achievements of Knowledge-based Companies and Idea Owners in the field of water, electricity, and energy was held on Monday, 14th of Esfand.
The event was attended by Engineer Mahrabian, the Minister of Energy, Dr. Moghimi, the President of the University of Tehran, Dr. Asadi, the head of the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran, along with various managers, deputies, and entrepreneurs.
Dr. Moghimi acknowledged the valuable achievements of knowledge-based companies and idea owners in the field of energy and expressed hope to develop and create businesses that can meet the needs of the Ministry of Energy with the ministry’s support.
He stressed the comprehensive expertise of the University of Tehran and the significant role it plays in various specialized fields, emphasizing the potential for the university to contribute to the missions of the Ministry of Energy through its faculties and different departments.
Further, he highlighted the university’s commitment to practical application and the necessity of aligning scientific progress with societal needs, drawing attention to the pivotal role of the university in establishing a third-generation university responsive to societal requirements.
Engineer Mahrabian emphasized the importance of providing complete support to meet the needs of the Ministry of Energy, particularly by utilizing products developed within the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran that address industry requirements in the fields of water and electricity.
He detailed the efforts to integrate graduates into the ministry and underscored the need to elevate the quality of the ministry’s activities through reforms and new decisions.
Additionally, he mentioned the government’s decision to recruit top graduates from universities, particularly the University of Tehran, to meet the needs of the Ministry of Energy.
The minister further emphasized the need for cooperation between specialized research institutes under the Ministry of Energy and the University of Tehran to address the country’s needs and promote scientific and technological advancement.
In conclusion, the event featured visits to knowledge-based companies and innovative centers located within the Science and Technology Park, including discussions with participants from various companies showcasing innovative ideas in the field of power generation, cable fault detection, and the production of biofuel from algae, among others.
