According to the public relations of the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran, a joint meeting between the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran and the President of Al Kut University in Iraq was held on Wednesday, 20th of Dey.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ali Asadi, the head of the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran, Dr. Taleb Al-Mousawi, the President of Al Kut University in Iraq, along with several deputies and managers.
Dr. Ali Asadi highlighted the diverse coverage of the park’s programs and activities, indicating that the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran, as the oldest and largest university park in the country, encompasses a wide range of specialized fields and is not limited to a single specialized park.
Dr. Iraj Elahdadi, the Deputy for Technology Development at the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran, addressed the collaboration between the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran and Al Kut University in Iraq, suggesting various forms of collaboration, such as establishing a joint science and technology park or launching a dedicated science and technology park for Al Kut University in Iraq.
He further emphasized the importance of the precise process of attracting, establishing, and evaluating companies in the establishment of a science and technology park to ensure the assessment and attraction of genuine innovative and technological companies.
Dr. Alahdadi also discussed the shortage of skilled human resources in Iraq, expressing the potential for assistance in this area.
Additionally, Dr. Alireza Nourpour, the head of the Faculty of Environment at the University of Tehran, provided a comprehensive introduction to the faculty, highlighting the achievements in the field of solar energy, where around 500 small-scale solar power plants have been established across Iran for electricity production.
In another part of the meeting, members visited the companies Dahian Pezeshki Pishro and Andisheh Sazan Salamat Parsian, located in the Science and Technology Park of the University of Tehran, and became familiar with the accomplishments of these companies.
