Establishment of a Joint Cooperation Office in University of Tehran Science and Technology Park and Moscow
According to the public relations of the University of Tehran Science and Technology Park, the sixth summit of the heads of the best universities of Iran and Russia, which was planned to expand and deepen international cooperation in scientific, research and academic fields, started on April 28, 2023 at Lomonosov University in Moscow.
Dr. Ali Asadi, head of the University of Tehran Science and Technology Park, during a meeting on the sidelines of the summit of heads of the best universities of Iran and Russia being held in Moscow, explained the structural capacities of the University of Tehran in the field of technology in a meeting with Dr. Victor Vaipan, Vice President of Moscow State University and said: The University of Tehran Science and Technology Park is the first and largest urban science and technology park in Iran where the interconnected chain of idea to market is designed and implemented in this complex.
Dr. Asadi announced that the number of knowledge-based companies stationed in the University of Tehran Science and Technology Park has grown 100% over the past year, adding: Currently, companies of the University of Tehran Science and Technology Park offer 1049 products and services and more than 6500 direct employments have been created by University of Tehran Science and Technology Park companies. Also, the total sales of University of Tehran Science and Technology Park companies in 2023 was three times that of 2022.
The head of the University of Tehran Science and Technology Park referred to providing establishment services, granting operating licenses, educational and advisory services, financial and credit services, facilitating the attraction of research projects and projects, commercialization services, startup and scaling facilities, patent arbitration agency, introduction to investor network and business clinic services as the most important basic and specialized services of the Science and Technology Park to idea owners and knowledge-based companies, and noted: We have used all our efforts to reduce technology development costs and accelerate technological and economic development in the country through the Science and Technology Park.
In addition to reviewing the capacities of the University of Tehran and Moscow Science and Technology Parks in this meeting, the parties welcomed the establishment and expansion of mutual cooperation between the University of Tehran Science and Technology Park and the Moscow State University Science and Technology Park.
The fields of cooperation between the University of Tehran and Moscow State University Science and Technology Parks were also examined and it was agreed to provide the necessary opportunities to support knowledge-based companies of both sides. It should be added that holding joint exhibitions with the presence of knowledge-based companies of the two parks of Tehran University and Moscow University, holding training workshops and empowerment, and establishing a joint cooperation office in each of the parks were among the understandings.
In the meeting between Dr. Ali Asadi and the Vice President of Moscow State University attended by Dr. Mehdi Fakour research and technology deputy of University of Tehran, it was decided that in the first opportunity, each side would introduce a representative to implement these agreements and operationalize the memorandum of understanding concluded on expanding cooperation between science and technology parks.
Dr. Seyyed Mohammad Moghimi, President of the University of Tehran, and Dr. Viktor Sadovnichy, President of Lomonosov Moscow State University, during the summit of heads of the best universities of Iran and Russia, signed a memorandum of understanding on expanding cooperation between the science and technology parks of the two universities.
